Come join us for a popup and community Bread Baking Extravaganza at LA’s newest and only existing flour mill, Grist & Toll. They’ve just recently opened their doors in Pasadena, on Arroyo Parkway, and we’ll be popping up there Sunday, February 9th from 11am to 3pm.
Onsite we will be joined by Michael O’Malley and his mobile wood burning bread oven. As well as master French bread baker, Joseph Abrakjian of Beyond Bread baking up loaves of his incredible wild yeast and classic European Artisan Breads using, of course, freshly ground Grist & Toll flours. You’ll also get a chance to meet Nan Kohler, founder and owner, of this delightful and important enterprise, and learn first hand about, heirloom grains, the farmers that grow them and the flours she is producing at Grist & Toll.
We’d like you to take part in the bread baking. We encourage all you Local Hivers to prepare your own loaves at home and bring them with you to the mobile oven for baking. How cool is that? We can't wait to see your delicious creations!
